The Monkey chariot - earth's silent natural guardian

Get to Know a bit about the character
At the genesis of Arcadia's celestial bodies, a mystical mineral formation gave birth to the enigmatic Guardian tree spirit known as Mori. According to ancient legend, Mori has been a presence since the emergence of fauna, an era dating back around 500 million years. Revered as the Monkey Guardian Tree Spirit, Mori is deeply woven into the fabric of Arcadian folklore.
Physically, Mori stands as the shortest of beings, his "human" form measuring 5’6. His appearance is distinguished by every "branch" of hair, which holds the miraculous ability to serve as an actual branch that germinates in the spring. His calm and reserved demeanour masks a deep curiosity about the world around him. Despite his muteness, Mori communicates fluently through the language of music and Sign Language. Mori's character and abilities are shrouded in mystery.
Most folklore depicts him as a man, while others argue that the creature is actually of the opposite gender. Over time, people have largely settled on the idea that Mori is male, but that may not be the case. He is known to reside within trees, becoming one with their silent sentinels. With an unwavering and nurturing spirit, he devotes himself to protecting and fostering the growth of saplings, treating them as his offspring. Mori remains oblivious to the modern world, but his fascination with contemporary musical instruments is an intriguing facet of his personality. Through his unique skill in musical expression, particularly on the bass, Mori displays a compelling interest in and connection to modern music.
More Folklore
Legends also tell of Mori's empathetic nature and his quiet vigil for the well-being of the forest. Spotting him near a tree signifies the thriving health of the entire woodland. Alongside this, Mori's gentle soul is intertwined with the pain of trees felled by the hands of man. Despite his initial shyness, he exhibits a playful and cheeky side once he feels comfortable in his environment. He was believed to embody nature deities residing within trees. Regardless of its form, Mori was said to possess supernatural powers that, when honoured and revered, acted as a shield safeguarding families and villages. This complex essence, combined with his deep-rooted link to nature, has woven Mori into the fabric of timeless tales and mysterious whispers.
